Everything you need to know about Blumarelo
An elevator pitch, eh? Here it is:
Blumarelo is a band that stands at the crossroads of several cultures, combining each member's sounds and experiences to make what could be called "multinational rock." Together, they inspire audiences to dance and to dream.
Even shorter?
Blumarelo—multinational rock for dancing and dreaming.
But what about the longer story?
Blumarelo is a band that stands at the crossroads of several cultures, combining each member's sounds and experiences to make what could be called "multinational rock."
The band’s name—which combines the colour blue, “sea” in Spanish (“mar”), and “yellow” in Portuguese (“amarelo”)—is just the beginning of that fusion.
Each member of Blumarelo represents a different geographical region. Vincent Teetsov (rhythm guitar, vocals) was born in the United States of Brazilian and Estonian heritage. Renan Deodato (lead guitar) is from Brazil. Mauricio Gamboa (bass) is from Mexico. Julious Nshaba (drums) is from Uganda.
Together, they've bonded over their roots and tell stories that cross continents and generations. With each sentimental melody and hip-swaying groove, they inspire audiences to dance and to dream.
Joining the band in the studio/live are numerous instrumentalists who can get a party going as soon as they hit the stage.

Lenny Stoute, ex-music writer for the Toronto Star
"[Their music] is thoughtful original material that even handedly melds two disparate genres into something way cooler than the sum of its parts... So if getting your spirits uplifted on a regular basis is your thang, this is the band for you. For me too. ‘Course, I always get jazzed when I hear a band that’s def bringing something fresh to the table and Blumarelo’s sound is fresh as a just caught red snapper."
"This mix of hope and despair is plain in the song’s touch of malaise amidst sunny guitars, with Vincent Teetsov riding the emotional line in his vocals... each chorus [of "Maybe You'll Win This Time"] drives in how many times you live through this same conversation with yourself... the solo gives one break from all this, shifting to a moment of light, and suggests things are looking up for them as well..."

"They quickly warmed up the crowd with their delightful and enjoyable energy... Their enthusiastic bounciness even brought on a couple of dancers to add to the sunny crowd... Their charm comes from just wanting their audience to have fun."
